Her daughter Amy gave birth to a baby girl, Harper May Tetzloff, mom, baby and grandmom are doing fine.<div>In other news the Hand Made Prints show is installed and we had a soft opening this evening. Fifi the dog attended. The real opening is Saturday, 1-4. He is currently Printmaking Studio Coordinator and principal printmaking instructor for the Evanston Art Center’s printmaking department/One Horse Press.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Awards and Recognition:</span><br />We hold that the arts are not competitive and therefore there will be no prize winners. Special recognition will be given for outstanding hand work and for technical innovation in printmaking. A recognition ceremony will be held at One Horse Press printmaking studio on Saturday, March 28, 2009.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Media Requirements:</span><br />All work will be hand pulled prints on paper which are multiples, part of a declared or actual edition of 5 or more identical prints. Imagery may be hand drawn or digitally generated but printing must be done by hand and executed by the artist. Framed dimensions must be no larger than 24x33. All accepted work must be framed with plexiglass (not glass) or mounted and ready to hang.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Eligibility:</span><br />The “Hand Made Prints” exhibition is open to all artists, 18 years of age or older. Works submitted must have been made in 2004 or later.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Submission Guidelines:</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">All work must meet the “Media Requirements” described above.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Each artist may submit three works for consideration.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">A completed submission form and $10 entry fee must accompany each entry (please enclose a check made payable to the <span style="font-style: italic;">City of Evanston</span> )<br /><br /></span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Artists may submit slides or images on CD। Slides must be 35mm, 2”x2” slides clearly marked with the artist’s name and the title of the work or number corresponding to the title list on the submission form. The top of the slide must be indicated. Slides should be contained in a transparent plastic sleeve.<br /><br /></span><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">CD’s should be JPEG format in a reasonable file size (below 2 MB) with the artist’s name and the titles or numbers corresponding to the submission form clearly marked on the CD.</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><br />Applicants will be notified of acceptance status by email by March 2, 2009.
